Grenadier

Apple

First recorded in 1862 and introduced to commerce in about 1875. It received a First Class Certificate from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1883. The most widely grown early commercial cooking apple in the UK. Fruits have firm, fine-textured, juicy flesh with an acid flavour. Cooks well to a froth.
