Herring's Pippin

Thought to have been raised by Mr Herring of Lincoln. It was first recorded in 1908. Introduced by Pearson of Nottingham. Fruits have moderately firm, rather coarse-textured juicy flesh with a good aromatic almost aniseed flavour.
