Improved Ashmead's Kernel (of Bunyard)

Malus domestica Borkh.

First recorded in 1883. It was awarded the Award of Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1892. Fruits have firm, pale yellow flesh with a pleasant subacid flavour.
