Complex parentage involving Rome Beauty, Golden Delicious, Starking, Simpsons Giant Limb and Jonathan. A scab resistant variety raised at the Station de Recherches d'Arboriculture Fruitiere, Angers, France. Fruits tend to be rather tart and acid.
