Malus domestica Borkh.

Raised by Haywood of Worcester, England. First recorded in 1888. Introduced by Penwill's. It received an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1892. Fruits have firm, compact, yellow flesh with an unusual, sometimes astringent flavour.
