Raised in about 1830 on the farm of Mr Mason Richards, Dedham, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Introduced to England by Rivers of Sawbridgeworth. Fruits have tender, juicy flesh with a sweet and pleasant, moderately aromatic flavour.
