Scarlet Staymared

Culinary / Dessert apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

An earlier colouring sport of Stayman's Winesap. Originated in 1930 with J.H.Dickey in Wenatchee, Washington, USA. Introduced in 1936. Fruits have firm, yellowish white flesh with a subacid, slightly sweet flavour.
