Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Originally found by Mr Bennett at Ditton Court Farm, Maidstone, Kent. It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1954. Self-fertile. Fruits have firm, moderately juicy flesh which is subacid and a little sweet.
