Blue Prolific

Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Raised by Rivers nurseries at Sawbridgeworth, Herts. It first fruited in about 1865 and introduced in 1875. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1905. Fruits have medium to firm, very juicy flesh which is subacid to a little sweet to taste.
