Damson Bradley's King

Culinary plum

Prunus insititia L.

Said to have been raised by Mr Bradley of Halam, Nottingham. It was recorded in 1880 in the Florist and Pomologist. Fruits have rather dry, almost mealy flesh which is a little sweet and without the usual damson astringency.
