Ponds Seedling X Coe's Golden Drop. Raised by Laxton Bros. at Bedford in 1902 and introduced by them in 1924. Received an Award of Merit by the RHS in 1934. Fruits have fairly firm, very juicy flesh which is very sweet with a rich flavour.
