Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

A variety local to the Dart Valley in Devon. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1949 from East Malling Research Station. Fruits have firm, slightly juicy flesh with a fairly sweet and a little rich flavour. Trees are prone to silver leaf.
