Monsieur Hatif

Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

This variety is thought to be of French origin but has been known in England for 300 years. It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1945 from Hertfordshire. Fruits have fairly firm, very juicy flesh with a little sweet, slightly acid flavour.
