Early Transparent Gage

Dessert plum

Prunus domestica L.

Raised by Rivers at Sawbridgeworth in 1866 and introduced in 1873. It was awarded a First Class Certificate by the RHS in 1898. Self-fertile. Fruits have golden yellow flesh with a very sweet and rich flavour.
