Grosse Zuckerzwetsche

Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Thought to be of German origin. Recorded in 1862. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1932 from Spath's Nurseries, Berlin. Fruits have firm, very juicy flesh with a sweet subacid and insipid flavour.
