Laxton's Gage

Dessert plum

Prunus domestica L.

Raised in 1899 by Laxton Bros. at Bedford and introduced in 1922. It was awarded the Award of Merit by the RHS in 1919. Fruits have fairly soft, juicy flesh with an excellent gage flavour.
