Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Discovered in 1940 by Susan Aldrich, Bothell, Snohomish county, Washington USA as a seedling growing among Italian Prune trees. Fruits have fibrous, rather acid flesh with a moderate flavour and little juice.
