Prunus domestica L.

Found in a garden at Alderton, Sussex and sold to Denyer, a nurseryman at Brixton. It was introduced in about 1840. It was awarded a First Class Certificate by the Rhs in 1973. Fruits have medium firm, moderately juicy flesh with a little sweet and a little rich flavour.
