Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1913 from the Earl of Morley, Whiteway, Chudleigh, Devon, through Veitch of Exeter. Fruits have firm, coarse, crisp, yellowish white flesh with a subacid flavour. Fruits rarely have any pips, hence its name!
