Complex parentage which includes Crandall's Rome X M. floribunda, Jonathan, Gallia Beauty, Red Spy and Golden Delicious. Raised in 1965 by Rutgers, Purdue and Illinois universities, USA. Introduced in 1979. Fruits are crisp and juicy. Scab resistant.
