Gyllenkroks Astrakan

Malus domestica Borkh.

Found in Fogelvik, north Tjust, Sweden. It was introduced by E. Lindgren, in 1863, although it is thought to have been known in the early 1800s. Fruits have fine, loose, white flesh with a subacid flavour. Flesh bruises easily.
