Cox Rouge des Flandres

A more highly coloured sport of Cox's Orange Pippin. Discovered in the late 40's early 50's by Dr G. Heem at the Centre Fruitier des Flandres, Herzeele, near Dunkerque, France. Fruits are juicy and sweet with a rich, aromatic, nutty flavour.
