Dessert apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

Raised either by Rathke of Pravst near Danzig or by A. Duhring of Elbinge, Germany. It was first recorded in 1884. Fruits have fine, soft flesh with a subacid and moderately sweet and spicy flavour.
