Cider apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

A synonym of cider variety Captain Broad. Originated in Cornwall. Traditionally planted in Devon and Cornwall and well suited to the growing conditions in the Tamar Valley. Fairly resistant to scab. A bittersweet variety.
