Dessert apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

Raised at the Central Experimental Farm, Ottawa, Canada. It first fruited in 1908 and introduced in about 1925. Fruits have fairly crisp, tender, white flesh with a sweet, subacid and aromatic flavour.
