Roter Sauergrauech

Dessert apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

A more highly coloured sport of Sauergrauech. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1947 from Switzerland. Fruits have fine, soft, greenish white flesh with a slightly sweet, vinous, aromatic flavour.
