SchoolmasterCulinary apple Malus domestica Borkh.Said to have been raised from seed of a Canadian apple in Old Stamford Grammar School garden or in Herefordshire. Introduced in about 1880 by Thomas Laxton. Received a First Class Certificate from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1880. Fruits have tender, coarse, greenish white flesh with an acid flavour.
