Malus domestica Borkh.

A French variety introduced to Herefordshire by the Woolhope Naturalist Field Club at the end of the 19th Century. Trees are vigorous with an open spreading habit. Appears to be susceptible to mildew. Produces a full bittersweet cider with a good full-bodied flavour.
