Raised in 1903 by Stevens & Son, Woolbrook Nursery, Sidmouth, Devon. Received an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1929. Fruits have firm, crisp, tender flesh with a sweet, slightly acid, slightly aromatic flavour.
