Imperial Epineuse

Dessert plum

Prunus domestica L.

Discovered in an abandoned monastery near Clairac, Lot Valley in France in about 1870. It was brought to the USA by Felix Gillet in 1883. Fruits have fairly soft, very juicy flesh with a very sweet and good flavour.
