Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Raised in 1923 at John Innes Horticultural Institute, Merton by M.B.Crane and named in about 1952. Fruits have fairly firm, very juicy flesh with a little sweet and little rich flavour. Can sometimes be slightly bitter.
