Laxton's Pearmain

Raised in 1897 at Bedford by Laxton Bros., and introduced by them in 1922. Received an Award of Merit in 1922 from the Royal Horticultural Society. Fruits have firm, crisp flesh with a sweet and slightly aromatic flavour.
