Raised in 1909 at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, Geneva, New York, USA. by Richard Wellington. Introduced by the N.Y.S. Fruit Testing Association in 1923. Fruits have soft, fine, very white flesh with a sweet subacid flavour.
