Lawson's Golden

Parentage is confused - Green Gage X White Magnum Bonum according to Scott; Reine-Claude X Coe's Golden Drop according to Hedrick. Raised in about 1842 by Archibald Gorrie of Annat Gardens, Errol, Perthshire, Scotland and named after Charles Lawson a nurseryman of Edinburgh. Fruits have fairly soft, very juicy flesh with a very sweet, rich and good flavour.
