Lutzelsache Fruhzwetsche

Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

Found in 1914 by Georg Nickel in a vineyard or on the mountain road at Lutzelsachsen near Weinheim, Germany. It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1937 from The Netherlands. Fruits have firm, but little juicy flesh with a subacid to sweet prune flavour.
