Culinary plum

Prunus domestica L.

A chance seedling local to Kea and Manaccan districts of Cornwall. It is often propagated from suckers. It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1956 from Manaccan. Fruits have rich apricot flesh, which is rather acid and prized for jam making
