Yellow Cherry Plum
Culinary plum
Prunus cerasifera Ehrh.
A very ancient variety which has many sports with different coloured fruits (reds and yellows). It was received by the National Fruit Trials in 1949 from P.M. Shand, Bath. Fruits have soft flesh with a rather poor flavour.
