Dessert apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

A bud mutation of Wealthy producing larger fruit. Discovered in 1934 in Cayuga, New York, USA by J.R. Stevenson. Fruits have rather soft, coarse-textured, juicy flesh with a sweet and faint vinous flavour.
